Executive Management Team

Mr. Charles Knott joined Flint Group as Chief Executive Officer in 2007 having built a successful career leading and developing global speciality chemical companies within ICI plc and Unilever plc. During his 19 years with National Starch & Chemical, he held a number of key positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer based in North America, and Executive Vice President Asia-Pacific based for six years in Singapore where he developed business in all areas of the Asia-Pacific region, in particular in China. Mr. Knott served for four years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quest International, a flavours and fragrances subsidiary of ICI, until its sale to Givaudan in early 2007. Mr. Knott was a member of the Executive Board of ICI from 2003 to 2007 and was a non-executive director of Imperial Tobacco Group plc from 2006 to 2010.

In 2009 Mr. Knott was appointed Chairman of Flint Group and continues in this role. Antoine Fady succeeded Charles Knott as CEO, Flint Group in early 2011.

Mr. Knott holds an honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Cost and Management Accountants.
